1. While the world swirls and dips around me, there are some things that stay the same

3. A new crop of unsteady, frizzy little ducklings that appear on the duck pond every year

4. And comfort in knowing that someone is going through it all alongside me

1. Went like gangbusters packing and cleaning over the weekend, so I'm not flapping crazy with stress during the week

2. Due to the aforementioned, I've slept better and longer in the past two days than I have in I can't remember how long

3. The scale has been packed away, where it can no longer taunt me

4. Replacing feelings of being yanked from my home with images of lying poolside and reading in the sand

5. Dreamed that I was antique shopping, and I woke up pleasant

1. A lovely pair of trousers I'd somehow forgotten about and found hanging in the coat closet

2. Ordering a new dish from a restaurant where I always get the same thing, and having no regrets

3. Seeing that I'd gained a couple pounds back and not launching into a mentally berating smackdown, but rather keeping calm with the fact that I now know how to shed them again

4. Finding and securing a new apartment

5. A Saturday evening to myself.
